The Lander 2 is the next iteration of Knafs everyday carry pocket knife with Fast Swap, Open Source scales. It's similar to the Lander 1 with some solid upgrades based on user feedback and ideas. We think of the Lander 2 like Apollo 12. You see, Apollo 11 sent the first humans to the moon. But Apollo 12 was the mission that proved Apollo 11 wasn't a fluke or anomaly. NASA did it smoother the second time, proving consistency and repeatability. That's what the Lander 2 is all about: do it again, but better.
The Lander 2 features upgraded blade steel, a larger overall size and Kizers adjustable Clutch Lock mechanism that allows you to tune the spring resistance to your taste, all while retaining a key feature that has helped make the Lander 1 the success that it is; Fast Swap Scales! Yep, quickly swap scales to your preference, without disassembly to the frame/pivot of the knife!

This sits in my goldilocks zone for an EDC workhorse, great steel, perfect length blade, silky smooth action, clutch/axis lock. The only box it doesn’t tick for the perfect 10 is the fact it lacks a flipper tab, but considering it’s a clutch lock with thumb studs, the addition of a flipper tab may be considered a little redundant. All in all, this is exactly what you would expect from a Ben Petersen / Kizer collaboration. To me, it’s an absolute must have.
Wow wow, ok cool l understand now, l understand why this is so good, clean and simple design. Iam so glad that l have it in my collection.
