Great little knife. I like the D2 steel. Easy to sharpen. Scales are really nice. Cross hatch checkering is flawless. Good fit and finish overall. No gaps or obvious imperfections.

As much as ceramic bearings are the way of the future - thick washers have a couple of advantages of increasing lateral blade strength and are less likely to gunk up if you use your folder in a tasks where crud can get into the pivot. Using washers can also give an old school hydraulic feel to a blades action. Skiffs washers are also a little cheaper than their ceramic offerings.
I know you can measure your bearings with a pair of calipers.....but using this card instead to check your bearing and pivot size for skiff bearings will only take a couple of seconds. Another useful gadget to add to your after market tool set.
This little device can be a sanity saver when you run into a non captured pivot. Being able to use it to steady the clip side of the pivot so you can remove the pivot screw from the show side of the scale. I think its worth the investment.

My dad is about to embark on Van life so I needed to get him something useful and small. I did a lot of research in this knife gets amazing reviews. I love how easily you can open and close the knife and the locking mechanism is very secure.
I feel a bit guilty at this point putting down another review for skiffs but here we are. Skiffs contain more balls per bearing than what you get on a factory knife. They are hand made and improve both smoothness and lateral stability, I am finding more and more excuses to switch bearings in all my favorite users. They are not cheap but I believe the investment is worth the outcome.
